Welcome to this weeks edition of

Sherry and her mom started off the week visiting with her
cousin Jimmy Como, who Sherry had never met until week #49

then Sherry ran into Bill Taylor, Michelle & Chandler when
she went to Tipitina's on Wednesday for the debut of
David Kunian's radio documentary on Guitar Slim

Sherry spotted David Kunian, the producer of the Guitar Slim documentary,
and then played the lightning round of "name the guys on the t-shirt"

Guitar Slim Jr. was at Tipitina's for the debut of the documentary on
his dad and wasted no time grabbing Sherry for his own debut

Jo Cool, Tipitina's MC, and Steve Armbruster, one of the founders
of Tipitina's, where on hand to lend their support, but Sherry
thought that Steve's enthusiasm got the best of him when he
hot glued the evenings poster to his left ear to promote the show

making a guest appearance to lend his support via telephone all the way
from Asheville, N.C. is Chris Jones of Thibodaux Jones Creole Kitchen fame

apparently the heat has started to get to Sherry as billboards
around town began springing up announcing her
as a candidate for King Zulu 2004

it was then time for the weekly Pizza Slut meeting/dinner
and this week they gathered at Katie's

then it was time for more presents as Sherry's never ending
birthday celebration entered into it's 3rd week

Sherry, Pat Stelz and Missy Bowen try to keep a straight
face as they read a plea from Quint Davis for mercy.....no

Sherry then decided it was time for a picture
with two of her favorite guys Camile Baudoin & Bob Stelz

Peggy Scott Laborde, New Orleans Historian and video producer,
spotted Sherry and made sure to get this point in history documented

some people wonder how Sherry does it, well Sherry's friend Lynn
was in from Gainesville, FL and gave the thumbs up
after trying out Sherry's brand new back massage machine

Friday night at Tipitina's Sherry was
greeted by a guy doing hand stands

also quite acrobatic was the set turned in by a
band that has become one of Sherry's favorites,
Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes

and when you talk about Johnny Sketch you
gotta mention the great Johnny Sketch horns

Sherry ran into her old buddies Katie Dilzell & Darcy Malone
and Darcy got Sherry ready to party when she told Sherry
she would be singing with Johnny Sketch

and Darcy didn't just sing, she tore da joint apart

Sherry never got this girls name but she kept
asking if Johnny Sketch did anything unusual

Johnny Sketch???...unusual???...never
if your used to having bagpipes that is
(not to mention a bass player in
a white choir robe and an afro wig)

Sherry attempts to explain her shock at learning
to Lynnie, Lynn and her friend that
Tipitina's serves Pepsi and not Coke at their bar

sitting in for a song with Johnny Sketch was guitarist
David Houston, who Sherry had never heard
before but can't wait to see again

DJ Davis of WWOZ also made a guest rap

Sherry telling Nate and Adam Shipley she had discovered
that Tipitina's was serving Pepsi and not Coke...Adam
told her "nice work Sherlock, we've been serving Pepsi for years"

and then it was time for Natalia....Sherry met Natalia in week #33 as
Harry of Johnny Sketch's girlfriend, but on this night Natalia lit
things up when she got on stage for her song

and by the end of the night the stage was filled with girls,
apparently Sherry isn't the only one that thinks Johnny Sketch
is pretty darn cool and one of the really good bands in New Orleans

Sherry with Sean her favorite poster artist and Peter her favorite
bartender at Tipitina's as they call it a Friday night

Sherry shows Lynn that nothing is better for the clearing your
head the next day than some crawfish and turkey necks

Sherry than headed for a party she had heard about
at Leo's Food & Spirits deep in the Bywater

spinning the tunes for the evening was Sherry's favorite funk DJ
Melissa a.k.a. the Soul Sister on WWOZ

Sherry was really happy to see Billy who
she had met at her birthday party at the Dock
in week #48d as Billy points out his next conquest
on the female packed funky dance floor

things picked up even more when Bill Taylor arrived...
having a hard time coming down from Jazz Fest, Bill still thinks it's Day 2

Sherry was all smiles as it's time for a round of shots
with Bart, who she had met in week #49 at Tory's birthday party

Sherry's didn't believe her new friend Doug when he
tried to warn her there was a bald man about to hug her

but she was happy when it turned out to be her old
friend Jonathan with his newly shaved head

Sherry was the winner of this week's "where's Goody" contest

Sherry knows she's in for a fun night when the bar back
not only has a nice goatee but also a good fitting bra

Sherry couldn't resist the Soul Sister's grooves
and soon was out in the middle of the dance floor

Sherry than tried to explain to Lee Frank of Tipitina's
that she was looking for her friend Laurie who would
probably have her tongue out sorta like this

it's Laurie and Goody is quite impressed

Lee Frank then thought he saw Bill Taylor doing the Gynecologist Wave
that Dr Stuart had introduced to Sherry in week #44 while poor Chandler
walks around with her hand in a glass of ice after burining it earlier

Lee then toasts Sherry as her and Goody had their groove on

with Laurie on one side and Billy on the other
Sherry stops to savor the fact that life really is good

but it was obviously getting time to go
as Sherry went into her Trance Dance

but the night was far from over as Sherry
went down to greet the folks on Bourbon St.

and found her way to the Dejavu Bar & Diner

and there ain't much that can top off
a weekend better than breakfast at 4am

that's all for this week

but stay tuned....because there are always more
