Welcome to this weeks edition of
David Lindley Y Wally Ingram kicked off this weeks action
with a great set at The Parish
Sherry ran into her old dinner buddy and one of
New Orleans premiere guitarists Brint Anderson
Sherry was glad to see her old friends Todd & The Goo
plus her new friend Jim (you'll be seeing more of him)
Wally Ingram was very happy to make
his first appearance in the Adventures
(There's ol' Jimbo again)
David Lindley says it ain't a trip to
New Orleans until he gets his picture with Sherry
an after show jam session broke out across the street
with Theresa Andersson, Wally Ingram, Glenn Hartman and some guy on
washboard that I can't remember his name
at Tipitina's it was the Lil Rascals Brass Band featuring
Sherry's old friend Trombone Shorty
(Shorty was hoping for a picture with Sherry but we sadly had to
remind him of our strict "celebrity 30 day no repeat policy")
Sherry got her groove thang happnin with Tony 8-Track
it took Sherry a minute to read but,
the tiny writing on RB's nose said "It's my Birthday"

Sherry was front and center as The Radiators took the stage
Lisa showed us right away it was gonna be
a 2-fisted night of drinkin
Sherry ran into Terry who saved Zach and whats-his-names life
one night
along with Terry is her husband Dennis, Andrea
and of course good ol' Jimbo
Dylan was obviously thrilled when the fish
reminded him it was his birthday too

Lynda wasn't there but today(10/7/02) is her birthday

this is Sherry's new friend John
he was in town from Oakland with one wish
to make it into the Adventures, which BT had been sending him for weeks
Congratulations John
from deep in the lost & found file
Sherry ran into her old friend Mark
and the long lost Gerry Raley,
but still no Hunter
Italian Shorty & Obnoxious Shorty
Jazz Fest Johnny and Sherry both know just
how good it feels to snuggle with Fess
it made Sherry's night when she saw Tracey & John Malone
who she met when they were on their very first date, but still no Hunter
the party was on when Renee & Rebecca showed up but Sherry
appears to be getting a little sleepy
running into The Goo popped open one eye
just seeing Suz, who she hadn't seen in some time
got her back on track, but still no Hunter
it's Hunter
and you could see Sherry light up
much later that night BT, Oakland John, David Kunian and
Sherry shifted the action to the Milan Lounge for a night cap
but bright and early Sunday it was Swamp Fest
where Sherry enjoyed 12 year old sensation Amanda Shaw
Sherry was very happy to get a picture with Amanda
because she finally found someone shorter than her
Sherry quickly made her way to the Louisiana Music Tent to
see her
good friend Kateri and to pick up on the latest Cajun & Zydeco CD's
we knew we were in for a big day when Harry Potter arrived
still reeling from Hurricane Lili, Sherry checked the outlook
with her favorite weatherman Carl Arredondo of WWL-TV
making a surprise appearance at Swamp Fest was the new hip-hop
trio
Jam Master Jerome, R-Mac and Whats-His-Name
Sherry then saw her old friend Dave
who she only runs into at Swamp Fest each year
Times-Picayune columnist Chris Rose was hoping for a 60 Second
Interview
but Sherry sadly told him she was very busy and could only give him 5
as she was overdue at the autograph tent
when the word got out Sherry was signing autographs
the lines rapidly grew quite long
Sherry was really happy to run into one of her Zydeco favorites,
Keith Frank
Sherry hadn't seen her friends Scott & Drina in a long
time
and was very pleasantly surprised when they showed up at Swamp Fest
Michelle, the Queen of the Cajun French Music Association,
said
her reign would not be complete without an appearance in the Adventures
and who are we to deny a Queen
Duane Dopsie then rushed over as he really had been wanting
to make the Adventures....Sherry said yes
but those fake contacts he wears scared her and she called it a day
