Sherry was joined by Mark "The Gov"
Morice at Diana & Brooks
home in Lutcher for the Christmas Eve bonfires

Brooks and Sherry enjoyed a laugh when they
discovered
themselves between a sleeping Davy Crockett and a giant

the laughs only intensified
when Chris began finding
some revealing photographs in Brooks' photo album

Sherry, Ashley and Chris ran
into Lorna in Lutcher and
if you know Lorna you know that is always good for a laugh

Sherry is thrilled as she continues her
holiday fascination with bonfires

Sherry gave Brooks a chance to explain the
photos in question
but he just closed his eyes and acted like it never happened....
but it did

Sherry was joined by Chris, Fred, Ashley plus
Katherine and The Gov for a little bonfire hang

a well rested Davy Crockett explains that
the bonfires are
traditionally lit to help show Papa Noel the path down river

these are Sherry's new friends Winston and
Doris Porier....
Sherry said hello to them and they entertained her for 20 minutes

Santa then checked with Sherry to see if there
were
any last minute Christmas instructions
and then Sherry, Santa & The Gov
gave one big Christmas Sherry Wave©

later that night Sherry enjoyed Christmas
Eve
at Celebration in the Oaks

Christmas morning Sherry and her mom celebrated
with their traditional
trip to Harrah's for some Christmas gambling

later that day upon receiving a Christmas
card from
Councilwoman Jackie Clarkson
Sherry responded with the appropriate gesture
for all things involving Fuhrer Clarkson

Friday night it was time to head for Tipitinas
and the Lil Rascals
featuring Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews...
Troy was recently featured in week # 29
of the Adventures when he participated in the recording of
The Blue Brass Project (stay tuned for details to follow)

Sherry knew it was gonna be a hot night at
Tip's
when she ran into The Goo & Tony 8-Track

and Sherry was right as she enjoyed a "rip yer face off" set by the

also in the crowd was Ryan...
Ryan is from New Orleans but is going to school in Charleston, S.C.
he was obviously out of New Orleans shape and Sherry had to assist
him to get his boogie feet back under him

and to top the night off Sherry saw her good friend Katie

bright and early the next morning (2pm), Sherry
was off for Adventures in the French Quarter

her first stop was to see her good friend
Arthur
at Arthur's House of Glamour

Arthur quickly scooped Sherry up and applied his glamour magic

here is Sherry with her new friend Alexandra
who is also at Arthur's House of Glamour

feeling good about herself
Sherry decided to peddle
around the Quarter and disperse some of Laura's Candies

a quick stop at C.C's for a Latte

and then it was off to the Three Dog Bakery
for some
Pup Cakes & Pup Tarts for Sherry's faithful companion Howie

hearing that Sherry had brought him Pup Cakes
had Howie's full attention

then Sherry kicked off Saturday night with a trip to NOLA

where she was joined by Beaux and his mother
Edwina
who was anxious to make her debut in the Adventures

when the NOLA chefs spotted Sherry in the
restaurant they quickly
asked her to come to the kitchen and make her selections for the evening

here at dinner with Lynn, Walker, Edwina,
Beaux and their waiter Herbeth,
Sherry showed Edwina the fine points of the Sherry Wave©
and Edwina
told Sherry the story about how Beaux didn't know until
he was in his 30's
that he was named after a bird dawg

after dinner the Gov joined Beaux & Sherry for a drink at Ryan's

everything was going just fine when someone
mentioned Jackie Clarkson and....
well, you know....fickle finger salute

Sherry then regrouped and everyone moved
on down to the House of Blues for Dr John

Sherry ran into Ruth (week #12)
and a new friend
Lydia in the crowd at Dr John

playing that Fonk Horn was New Orleans own Charlie Miller

Sherry felt the night just wouldn't be complete
without a visit to the Maple Leaf....
here we see Sherry with Beaux (aka Bird Dawg)
and Hank the owner of the Maple Leaf

Sherry was on her way into the Maple Leaf
when she ran into Troy,
who Sherry had met when he was a bartender at Butler's....
he is now teaching at the Aquarium of the Americas
and soon will be teaching math to Orleans Parish school kids...
good luck Troy...good luck kids

jammin it at the Maple Leaf was Kermit Ruffins & His BBQ Swingers

but as soon as Kermit saw Sherry,
he dragged her outside to show her his sausage
and make his debut in the Adventures

with Mardi Gras fast approaching, Sherry decided
to look
through her costume room for her favorite Mardi
Gras hat

when she found it Sherry declared
"Let da pawty begin"

Sherry then was back at the Maple Leaf for
some of
The Troy Andrews Band.....where Shorty puts down his trombone
and plays some of the most incredible trumpet you have ever heard

Sherry saw Beaux & Edwina in the crowd and being that
she is now
a veteran all Edwina needed to know was "Do we wave©
now?"
Sherry jumped right in when the crowd
broke into a 2nd Line Bunny Hop

but Shorty wasn't leaving until he got
his picture with Sherry and Bill Taylor

then for a night cap Sherry jumped behind
the bar at Jacques-Imo's
with her favorites Heather & Jamie

with New Years Eve around the corner,
Sherry decided enough is enough
