Sherry got Monday in gear dancing at Tipitina's to the
Hot 8 Brass Band at the 2nd Annual Instruments A Comin' Benefit


Henry Butler and Anders Osborne got the
action moving inside on the main stage


after the set Henry Butler took this
opportunity to spend some time with Sherry


Sherry was telling Tipitina's Adam Shipley what a great time she
was having when he told her "you ain't seen nuthin' yet"


Sherry not only loves the way Camile Baudoin of the Radiators
plays guitar but he also can crack her up in a second


Sherry and her old friend Jonathan Ferrera
of the Jonathan Ferrara Gallery share a street dance


when Big Bennie finished his set with the Hot 8
he stopped for a visit with Sherry and her neighbor Elizabeth


Dr John spotted Sherry out of the corner of his
eye and knew this might be his only chance to meet her


Sherry proposes a toast to her new friend Jack Straw


Sherry with N.J. Juls who she
runs into at every cool show in town

good friends Bill Taylor and David Kunian


and up on the stage Sherry's new friend Dr John joined Sherry's
fellow "Adventurers" Ivan Neville, June Yamagishi & George Porter Jr


Ed Volker of the Radiators is the last
member of his band to be in the Adventures
but he seems to be really enjoying the moment


"Mean" Willie Green would be playing drums later
in the evening but first he wanted to get him some Sherry Love


Sherry, her old friend Renee and her neighbor Elizabeth
were unable to convince anyone they were really the Dixie Cups


Sherry letting Duke know that he was right about his mom's
Key Lime Tarts and Strawberry Shortcake at Jazz Fest,
but he needs to keep an eye on his brother Judah


Zachary isn't sure why but he just loves it
when Sherry asks Melissa Horowitz for directions


David Kunian inducting Leo Nocentelli into
the Tipitina's Walk of Fame....Leo is not only
a great guitarist and a founding member of the Meters,
he also used to cook Red Beans for Sherry at the home of a friend


and Sherry was quick to congratulate Leo on his honor


Leo then joined Ivan Neville, Tony Hall, "Mean" Willie Green
and Ben Ellman for an incredible set of New Orleans Funk


Sherry with her neighbor Elizabeth and Ivan Neville after he
finished laying a deep layer of funk on Tipitina's


the next inductee into Tipitina's Walk of Fame is also one of the most seen
musicians in the Adventures, Walter "Wolfman" Washington


and Sherry let Walter know just how happy she was for him


Sherry and Stacey agreed it was quite an exciting night


Sherry had one last dance with Spyboy Waddy
of the Golden Star Hunters Mardi Gras Indians


then David Kunian convinced her to say "Good Night Sherry"


back at the house Sherry welcomes Gary
from Las Vegas for the second weekend of Jazz Fest


Sherry then took Gary and Zachary to
Liuzza's for some old school New Orleans dining


the mood was somber at Earl King's funeral on Wednesday
as Sherry admires the tribute put together by
Ashton Ramsey,
one of the elders of the Treme community



Aaron Neville had Dr John introduce him to
Sherry outside the services at Gallier Hall

Earl King's casket was then carried from Gallier Hall

Dr John and Sherry paraded through
the streets with an emotional crowd


even though he's been dead for almost 2 years
Ernie K-Doe hates to miss a festive occasion


Sherry's friend Keith Frazier and the Rebirth Brass Band
led the Second Liners through the streets


Sherry was glad to see her old friends Deacon John
and Doris as they made their way down Rampart


Sherry, Zachary and Gary respectfully lead
Earl King's caisson down the final stretch


after the Second Line for Earl King ended at Armstrong Park
Sherry ran into Grasshopper, Susan And John Glen....
John currently has a photo exhibit in the Hotel Inter-Continental


Sherry then took Zachary & Gary to the Acme Oyster House


meanwhile, Quint Davis was spotted looking for a long gone Sherry


it was then off to Pat O'Brien's for a post-parade Hurricane


Grant Morris couldn't believe it when Sherry and
Steve Armbruster guessed who each other was with their eyes closed


back at the house Mike & Kathy Otte arrived from Houston
for the second weekend of Jazz Fest


later that night it was off to the Rock 'N Bowl
for the 2nd Annual Ponderosa Stomp


Dale "Suzie Q" Hawkins was just one
of an all-star lineup to perform


he played guitar for Elvis and Ricky Nelson
but James Burton reached a new plateau
while making his debut in the Adventures


Brooks tries to warn Kathy about hanging
out with Sherry but Sherry knows it's already too late


Diana introduces Sherry to her new friend Jeff


Sherry hadn't seen drummer Carlo Nuccio in almost a year


Sherry ran into Sean Mandel's friends Tracy and Tori
but no Sean


Sherry knew she was in for good eats when she found
out her neighbor Paul Artigue was handling the catering


soon it was time for Sherry's good friend and one of the
creators of Rock N Roll - Paul Burlison


Kim Wilson of the Fabulous Thundebirds joined
Paul Burlison & Rocky Burnette for a couple of songs


Rocky then invited Big Sandy from
Big Sandy & His Fly Rite Boys to do a couple songs

John R as he claims to have fulfilled a lifelong
dream by having his picture taken with Sherry


Kevin Aucoin and Freeman York check to see if
Sherry really can sing "Jimmy Crack Corn" without moving her lips


Baton Rouge Bluesman Rudy Richard was
also on stage at the Ponderosa Stomp


Sherry gets that same old strange feelin she
gets whenever Quint Davis is lurking around


but soon her attention was riveted on
the stage for the set by Tony Jo White

 


Bill Bender confirmed Sherry's worst fears
as he spotted Quint two people down at the bar
and with that Sherry called it a night....besides that chick
on the other side doing the Carol Burnette
impression was starting to freak her out
