Welcome to this weeks edition of

one of the true signs of an approaching Mardi Gras
is a Wednesday night journey to Hancock Fabrics

having dinner with her good friend Missy Bowen of WWOZ
and Sherry's new hero Camile Baudoin
of the Radiators (see week#34) made Sherry boogie in her seat...
plus she really likes mustard

when Sherry walked into the Bywater Barbecue she was recognized by
Anita because Anita reads the Adventures at work with Sherry's
friend Walker...now that Anita's a new friend she gets her own

then it was time for a little Krewe du Vieux
planning meeting with the Pizza Sluts....
and like all good Pizza Slut functions, it starts with food

Sherry then hopped behind the bar to
mix up a few stiff ones (as in drinks) for her friends

Steve & Marilyn's daughter CeCe was very excited
about another appearance (weeks # 4 & 23) in
the Adventures but came down with the flu....so Marilyn
brought plenty of CeCe pictures to make a cameo

everybody then went outside to stare
at a big piece of yellow sign board

then it was time for a trip to the Neutral Ground Coffee House
for some music from Sherry's friend Gallivan Burwell
accompanied here by his long time partner Marcel Anton

Sherry had her "Coffee House Groove Thang" happnin'

to top the night off Marcel & Gallivan grabbed a shot with our girl

next stop was the Howlin' Wolf for an
Adventures of Sherry week #1 reunion

the first person Sherry saw was her good friend
and jammin' guitarist Randy "Junior" Ellis....
Randy was in the very first picture in week #1....
pictured with Junior and Sherry is manager Rueben Williams

Brian Stoltz, also in the very first picture week #1,
was celebrating the release of his new CD
"East of Rampart Street"

Sherry always gets a kick out of dancing with Tony 8-Track

sitting in with the Brian Stoltz Band was guitarist Ian Neville...
continuing the reunion theme Ian was
the first celebrity picture in week #1

Ian & Sherry then recreated their pic from week #1

Sherry with her new friend Grasshopper (aka Laura).
Grasshopper recently moved here from San Francisco...
she used to read the Adventures on a friends e-mail
and she recognized Sherry in the Howlin' Wolf bathroom...
welcome to New Orleans Grasshopper

Junior and Sherry with Sherry's favorite boat captain....
Boolay

Irene Sage joined Brian Stoltz for some hot vocals

and seized the moment to make her Adventures debut

Grasshopper has a personality that
makes it easy for her to meet new friends...
here we see her with RB & Eddie.....
more on RB a little later in this Adventure

Sherry hadn't seen her old friend Mark "Bird Dawg" Dillon
(keyboards for Brian Stoltz) in quite some time....
Bird Dawg & Junior were in Big Sun together

a big Sherry Wave© goes out to Paola (in the cap) who is
here from Chile visiting Matt Coby and his sister Melisa

bright and early Saturday morning Sherry made
her rounds in the French Quarter for Leidenheimers

while she was there she ran into her old buddy Bill
who was picking up some spare change blowing sax
until Jackie Clarkson spotted him and had him
rounded up along with the tap dance kids

a cape perhaps???....maybe not

still bleary eyed from the night before, Sherry
mistook this statue for Ranger Sunpie Barnes

it's the real Ranger Sunpie Barnes (weeks # 9 & 34)

Sherry then dropped by to visit Big Chief Toby of the Flaming Arrows
and 2nd Chief Sean of the Young Cheyennes as they demonstrated
Mardi Gras Indian suits and how they are made

Sherry stopped to console a French Quarter mule which,
thanks to Jackie Clarkson, are now required to wear diapers

apparently Phil deGruy couldn't make up his
mind on what hat to wear to Les Bon Temps
as M.O.M's was set to announce this years
King & Queen

the place went wild when Sherry's good friend RB
was named King Quasimodo for M.O.M's 2003

Allison(week # 29) tried to sneak in when Sherry called for a
"Redheads Only" picture, but Shar, Tory & Tracy weren't fooled

then Queen Inertia for 2003 was announced.....
Sherry's good friend (weeks #30,32,34,35) Katherine Cargo

to celebrate Sherry decided to flirt with Hans

Sherry ran into Sean (on the right, weeks # 32,33,34,35)
along with his partners in crime Chuck & Dylan....
Chuck & Dylan are long time readers and were
happy to be making their debut

Sherry even got Bob Rue (week #23)to smile
(along with some coaxing from Diana &
Brooks weeks # 14,15,21,23,25,30,31,34,35)

All Hail King Quasimodo & Queen Inertia M.O.M.'s 2003

Sherry was stunned when Lauren caught
her trying to snatch her boa

Sherry told Johnny Malone (weeks 26,29,34,35) that if he got
a couple people together, she would make a goofy face

Johnny grabbed Allison & Tracy (weeks #26,29,34,35)
and Sherry did her thing

then Sherry ran into Jennifer from Chalmette who
she met at the Radiators 25th anniversary show

a big Sherry Wave© to Patty, Sherry's
favorite M.O.M.'s Jester of all time

then it was time for another Pizza Slut planning meeting
and Sherry wanted to know where's the food?

let the planning meeting begin

believe it or not there is a logical explanation for this

then it was off to Jefferson Variety....
today it's just blue mesh....

mix that with some gold shiny material....
and tomorrow it's a Mardi Gras costume

Sherry got some great costume making tips
from Carol Ashby from Thibodaux

a quick stop for an all important hula hoop
and Sherry called it a week

that's all for this week

but stay tuned....because there are always more
Adventures of Sherry
