Welcome to this weeks edition of

Sherry was back out at the fairgrounds early on Friday
and greeted her old buddy the "How Ya Gonna Clap" guy

once inside it was time for breakfast
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries and the Gospel Tent

and the uplifting music of
Charles Jackson & The Jackson Travelers

demonstrating to Sherry that he still has his wits about him,
Bill Taylor signifies it truly is day 2

Sherry makes a generous application of suntan lotion and
gets ready for the action at the Professor Longhair Stage
(Sherry prefers not to mention foreign automobile sponsors with great music,
besides we all know that Fess drove a Caddy)

and getting it rolling was Cajun great Jo-El Sonnier

back in the grandstand Sherry admires a beautiful
display of colorful dance outfits from Martinique
and gets some great ideas for next years Mardi Gras costume

while in the grandstand area Sherry gave visitors an
impromptu demonstration of the Sherry Wave©

becoming so used to having her picture taken Sherry
now lines up and smiles at any gathering of 2 or more

then at the Jazz Tent it was time for the incredible
Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews and this day he was
joined on stage by his brother James and cousin Glen

and brother James Andrews was quick
to grab Sherry when he got off stage

as a special treat for the Jazz Fest crowd Troy
played an entire solo on 2 trumpets simultaneously

and brought out the Divine Divas to show the crowd
how ya move to this type of music

Sherry's old friend Shalanda is member of the Dancing Divas
and she brought the other girls over for a picture with her friend

back on stage Troy (with his trademark trombone)
and band member James Martin take their well
deserved bows after ripping up the Jazz Tent

then Trombone Shorty grabbed his favorite girl who
he always refers to as Italian Shorty

Sherry and Brooks check out Frenchy's
interpretation of Trombone Shorty's set

then it was back out to the field and time
for a BBQ Oyster with Blue Cheese Po-Boy

and then Julie helps Sherry wash it down
with her special mix of Vodka & Gatorade
(ya gotta keep them electrolytes replenished)

then it was time for the New Birth Brass Band led by Glen Andrews
and a guest appearance by cousin Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews

Sherry was proud of Tim Ryan for sporting his new
Adventures of Sherry T-Shirt at the Fest

then back to the Jazz Tent for Sherry as she
enjoyed Leroy Jones and New Orleans Finest

Sherry then ran into Lou Barrone, a member of the
New Orleans Jazz Vipers and the houseband for
the Viper's Ball back in week # 45

Sherry was excited to run into the Gov & Allison
for a quick round of blowing bubbles

and then back to the tarp where Tim Ryan
has apparently decided it was nap time

but Sherry was ready to rock as it was time for....

Bob Dylan

Sherry and Brooks Smith were glad to be a
part of Kim Stephens first ever Bob Dylan concert

Dylan played mostly piano during a brilliant set

crowd singing "Like A Rolling Stone" to
close out Day 2 at the Fairgrounds

but that night Sherry went to Jimmy's Music Club

and one of Sherry's favorites, the band formerly
known as the Subdudes, then formerly known as the Dudes
and now again known as the Subdudes

Sammy Neal joined in as Jimmy Messa
and Steve Amadee got down and funky

Sherry and her new friends Milan and Jack
agreed that the Subdudes are back in great form

Part 3 to follow

but stay tuned....because there are always more
