Sherry and Zach then met Rod & Justin
who also
would be marching in Krewe du Vieux on Saturday
a trip to Franky & Johnny's isn't complete
until Duke croons a song or two
then BA (Skinny King) arrived from Cali
for his first Krewe du Vieux parade
Sherry and the guys then went to pick up
their Krewe du Vieux parade credentials
as the Pizza Sluts big day was almost here
one last Pizza Slut planning meeting/dinner
before hitting the streets on Saturday night
everyone was quite surprised when
Carrot Top joined us for dinner
Sherry then ran into Mr & Mrs Da Donkey
(better known as the Schneller's) who Sherry also
ran into on their very first date
Sherry was thrilled to meet one of her biggest fans
it was then time for royalty as the
King & Queen of the Pizza Sluts,
Mike & Kathy, arrived from Houston
Kathy was then presented with her royal Queen pin
and in true Pizza Slut style they celebrated
with more food at Franky & Johnny's
everyone was on their best behavior but
Sherry knew that it wouldn't last
Sherry then took everyone to Tipitina's where
they
watched asTim Foley, JFJ & Hans practice their well
choreographed parade marching routines
and opening up the show was Johnny Sketch & The Dirty Notes
meanwhile Sherry introduced her old friend Todd to Queen Kathy
Sherry greets her friends Katie & Kevin
from Tipitina's
trying not to let anyone know that, in a horrible costume accident,
she has hot glued her finger to the side of her head
Sherry then wanted to introduce her good friend
Libra LeGrone
to Queen Kathy but couldn't get Libra to quit laughing at
her finger
Sherry meets a new friend in Mitch, who says
he's always a sucker for a girl with two drinks
Harry from Johnny Sketch came out front after
their set and was quick to grab a picture with Sherry
while Dave, Marc & Andre of Johnny Sketch
send their greetings from the balcony
headlining the night was the "Lonely
Hearts Club Band"
made up with Tommy Malone of the Dudes, Anders Osborne,
Chris Chew of the North Mississippi All Stars
and Jeffrey "House" Clemons from G Love & Special Sauce
performing a set of all Beatles songs
somebody forgot to tell House it wasn't a costume gig
Sherry then met the family and friends of
Brian Coogan the keyboard player in
the Lonely Hearts Club Band
and Brian made them proud
Jay Mazza, editor of New Orleans Beat Street
,
wanted to meet Brian's sister-in-law Virginia
and Sherry pointed out it was his lucky day
then Sherry met her new friend photographer
Jenny Bagert....
Jenny's pictures are featured in New Orleans Beat Street
Sherry then picked up some crucial costume
points
from a splendidly tutued Joey LeBlanc
then Sherry grabbed a quick dance with King Quasimodo
and then she let it all out
many people missed Michelle in last weeks
Adventures
and Sherry was happy it wouldn't be two weeks in a row
outside Sherry made a couple of new friends
Jill & Justin with King Slut Mike in the

the next days big parade
Sherry then called it a night and hopped a
ride
from the folks in the GTO convertible
the big day was finally here and Sherry helped
Cindy
put the final touches on her costume
with the transformation complete Sherry was
ready for the Krewe du Vieux parade
Sherry then enjoyed a pre-parade beverage with the Queen Slut
Ladies and Gentlemen...
The 2003 Pizza Sluts
all dressed up and ready to parade
and with that the Pizza Sluts headed for the den
and then it started to rain....
and it rained, and it rained, and it rained
Sherry checked with the Krewe du Vieux's
King Uncle Lionel Batiste and he said let's roll
and the Pizza Sluts hit the streets
and they rolled in style
with King & Queen Slut leading the way
and the girls gave the crowd what they came for
the Pizza Slut float never looked better as
the Sluts
announced they had taken over the Canal Street Brothel
only one thing could top off a rain soaked
parade

the party then moved into the State Palace
Theater where
King Lionel Batiste led the Treme Brass Band to an
appreciative crowd
and Uncle Lionel presided over the festivities
in style as the consummate King
and the music rocked into the night with Anders
Osborne,
Big Chief Monk Boudreaux & Cyril Neville
then on Sunday, with Carnival
season in full swing, it was
back to Joe's House of Blues for the Golden
Arrows Mardi Gras Indians practice
and leading the way once again was
Sherry's neighbor, Big Chief Peppy
also taking in the amazing energy was Sherry's
old friend Big Chief Alfred Doucette
during a break David Kunian & Sherry had a smile off
Sherry then challenged BT to a smile off
and he never had a chance
out from under his DUHbya costume Bill Bender

Sherry to Jen, who just moved here from Vermont and
was totally amazed by what she saw that night
Michelle then told Lee Frank, Promotion Director
of Tipitinas,
the story about Camile Baudoin calling Sherry up onstage during
the Radiators show at Tips....Sherry loves that story
not ready to call the weekend over, Sherry
then headed
for the Streamline Lounge for the Golden Star Hunters
Mardi Gras Indian practice....out front Sherry, King Mike &
Queen Kathy run into Big Chief Peppy's wife Wanda
and her brother Shotgun
inside Sherry was introduced to Big Queen
Sandra
of the Golden Star Hunters
Sherry's neighbor Big Chief Peppy then
visited the Golden Star Hunters rehearsal
and Big Chief had plenty of fire water
King Mike, Queen Kathy & Sherry made new
friends
including Roddy (right) Spyboy for Golden Star Hunters
feeling the spirit of Mardi Gras upon us
Sherry danced the night away with the Indians
