Welcome to this weeks edition of
Sherry kicked off the week with dinner at home of
Steve & Marilyn (featured in the Times-Picayune week #20)
Sherry had a drink on the patio with Joe & Cindy
but soon jumped into a little wine with Steve
here Sherry & Joe enjoy Marilyn's delicious Oysters Mosca
but soon Sherry & whats-his-name
were off for Asheville, N.C.
Sherry was really happy to see her good friends Chris &
Ashley
who have recently opened Asheville's newest dining sensation
Thibodaux Jones Creole Kitchen
Sherry was thrilled to meet
Ashley's lifelong friend Jennifer
much to Sherry's delight James & Josh were also in town
for the festivities of the weekend
in addition to great food there was also great music
provided by the Meantime Ramblers
Jason Krekel of the Meantime Ramblers hadn't
seen Sherry since last Mardi Gras
Sherry was happy to meet one of Jim Diaz's many girlfriends
(we just called her #1)
always one to jump right in, Sherry took Chris
off guard with her surprise refrigerator inspection
Sherry & James both knew the party would jump
up a notch with the arrival of the Lauries
Sherry & James can only smile as Jim Diaz
tries to make a sincere introduction of girlfriend #2
The 3 Tenors got nothing on The 3 Sherrys
Dive in Dat Gumbo
as Sherry adds a little personal spice to the pot
Sherry then decided to slip on one of those
brand new Thibodaux Jones Creole Kitchen T-Shirts
(available while supplies last)
Sherry than took over the cash register
and declared business good
Sherry & James admired the new
fender signs on BTO's ride
Sherry then got the gang together for a
picture under the Thibodaux Jones sign
we're not sure what Ashley & Jennifer are doing,
but we're all for it
later at the house Sherry provided the background vocals
as Chris & James ran thru their Earth, Wind & Fire revue
and Sherry was their biggest fan
later Sherry & Frank shared a
duet on the "Monster Mash"
the next day Sherry picked up Brooks at the airport
and we were off for the big Masquerade Ball
hosted by Acoustic Syndicate in Winston-Salem
Ashley, Sherry & Laurie had a full cart for LeRoy
as we arrived for check in at our penthouse accommodations
after the long ride Sherry & Chip did
a little yoga to rejuvenate themselves
Laurie, James & Sherry relax prior to
a full night of foolishness
Sherry decided to pamper herself
with a relaxing tub
the girls were all dressed up
and ready to go
Sherry, The Fallen Angel & Uptown Elvis (Prytania &
Soniat)
share one last drink before heading into the night
Sherry, Brooks & Laurie are bootiful as they pose
on stage during the show (notice drummer behind them)
Sherry & Ashley are two girls that are
not afraid to dance into the fire
James throws up his arms in celebration
and declares it a real good time
(oh yeah, nice mullet wig huh?)
Sherry & Uptown Elvis share a quiet moment
Sherry then slipped into her
Afro-ditie costume
back at the penthouse Daisy, Ashley, Jumanji, Sherry &
James
enjoy a late night get together
Beau (Uptown Elvis) introduces Sherry to Jay
Jay is the promoter behind the Masquerade Party
after a long conversation Sherry discovered that
her and Stretch (Jay's right hand man) had
quite a bit in common
Beau also introduced Sherry
to her new friend Tara
JJ & whats-his-name took Sherry
out the next day for a couple of beers
and some foosball, which Sherry
is surprisingly good at
back at the house Sherry decided to slip
on that stylish Mullet wig while Chris
recreates the look he perfected in week # 14
Sunday night Sherry went to Asheville's newest club
The Orange Peel
and Little Feat...they were really good, but the most
interesting part was how much their drummer
Richie Heyward has started to look like Leno
Sherry was really happy to see her old friend and
CO-owner of the Orange Peel Leslie Groetsch
Sherry & Ashley were also thrilled to see Jack Groetsch,
the other CO-owner of the Orange Peel
(Jack & Leslie are not only old friends they share the same
wedding anniversary with Sherry & whats-his-name)
it was a great weekend but sometimes
even Sherry has to get some rest
that's all for this week
but stay tuned....because there are always
more
